Team Motivation for Direct Sales

July 8, 2018 By Joni Kinney Leave a Comment

Team motivation applies to everyone. Everyone is on or leads a team of some sort. You may be a team leader of your family, your friends, your town board or lead a group at a corporate job. No matter what having a confident team and team motivation determine how successful you are on a daily basis.

5 Keys to Team Motivation Success

  1. Lead from the front – Don’t ask your team members to do things you wouldn’t do. If you aren’t putting your best foot forward your team and those around you will know it. Your team will feel like you don’t care and that is precisely the opposite of what you want.
  2. There is POWER in staying POSTIVE. Negativity has no place in a team setting so keeping a positive mindset is critical. Find ways to encourage, work through issues and put positivity at the forefront of all the things you do.
  3. Have a single mission. Everyone on the team needs to understand the big picture. What are you trying to accomplish? Having a purpose no matter what type of organization can mean the difference between success and failure, your mission can and should change over time. Whether your mission is to make it through the day with no boo-boos or to redesign the corporate logo you need to know what you are trying to accomplish.
  4. Don’t spend time concentrating on things you can’t control. You can only control your reaction, your influences, and your attitudes. Don’t waste time trying to convince others you are right or your way is best. Merely lead the way, and they will get onboard with your vision or they will not. Exuding to much energy into something you can’t control is exhausting and won’t change the outcome anyway.
  5. Gratitude! Showing others they matter means so much to them. It is your job as the leader to help your team stay positive and showing them they matter to you and each other. Team members who feel like they matter are more likely to want to stay engaged and part of the team. Help them see the vision, recognize their accomplishments (even if small) and encourage them to understand and accept others.

Team Motivation Quotes

  1. Your energy is contagious. Either you affect people or you infect them.
  2. Replace “I can’t” with “How can I?”
  3. If you love someone, do not let them settle for less than their best.
  4. When “We” comes before “Me,” you become the person and TEAM you are meant to be.
  5. One person can’t make the team, but one person can break a team.
  6. Dream big, sparkle more, shine brightly.
  7. A little progress each day leads to big results.
  8. Excellence is not a skill; it’s an attitude
  9. Believe in yourself
  10. Be brave enough to believe in yourself.

Direct Sales: What types of Instagram Photos should I post?

May 23, 2018 By Joni Kinney Leave a Comment

Instagram is an amazing tool you can use to express your personality for both personal and business. However many people wonder what are the best Instagram photos to post? Here are some different types of instagram photos that will allow you to help maximize your engagement and interaction.

Instagram Photos with Quotes

The first type of photo you will often see is something with a fun quote. These quotes are often motivational and inspirational. They can be so fun to read what others think people need to see. Keep these types of posts short!

Don't stop until you are proud of yourself! #motivation #myameliajames #ameliajames #quote #motivationalquote

Current Events

By being responsible and posting to relevant current event hashtags will pull people to you. If you combine this with good hashtags, great content and useful ideas/perspectives on things happening around us right now will help boost your posts. Make sure you are not taking advantage of social situations or current events though as that would do the opposite of what you are trying to accomplish.

Organizational Photos

There is something to be said about a well lit, fun photo of objects. This is another great way to help push forward your brand awareness. Read more about how to brand yourself if you don’t already have a personal brand established.

Seasonal Photos

There is just something fun about Christmas Lights, BBQ photos, Valentines hearts and fun loving photos around holidays that make people happy. Your audience should want to get to know you and what your family is doing. That doesn’t mean you have to always share overly personal things, but giving your audience a glimpse into your life makes you relatable. That makes people want to get to know you, and to ultimately follow you on social media.

Selfies

Look to take selfies in unique places to provide fun backgrounds. I’ve recently taken some selfies in hardware stores, craft stores, and randomly along the road. Try to mix in your unique personality with your selfies and show your audience a variety of things and unique color blends to stand out.

With all those ideas the number one characteristic of amazing content that will attract new people to your photo is the ability of your audience to relate to the photo. If you are being authentic, sharing good content, fun ideas and being genuine people are sure to find you.

Great photos and an awesome hashtag strategy are sure fire ways to get you more followers on Instagram. If you want additional tips on how to rock out Instagram I suggest you check out the Suite Success with Instagram video course! This course will help you set up your profile, content and hashtag strategy!

5 Apps to use for your Direct Sales business

February 16, 2018 By Joni Kinney Leave a Comment

There are so may apps to choose from and so many that I found useless when I was first starting out. I found myself getting so discouraged and I don’t want you to struggle like I did. So I am going to give you a list of my favorite 5 apps to use for your Direct Sales business.

1. WordSwag

The first of the apps to use for your direct sales business for me is WordSwag. This app is used to create graphics. Since I work a full time job, I need something that I can easily use on the go. The interface is easy to use and provides me a variety of fonts that can be added to pictures. I can grab pictures from my camera roll to customize or use a preset background image available on the app. I love that I can add my watermark to my photos as well. It’s a MUST have!

2. YouCamMakeup

My second favorite of the apps to use for your direct sales is YouCamMakeup. Since I am always taking selfies to post online for my business page, Instagram or my Facebook group page this is a much utilized app. I love the different settings and you can make yourself look awesome without having super expensive equipment or completely distorting your image.

3. Tailwind

Another highly desirable app that I recently discovered is Tailwind. You can use this to schedule Pinterest posts as well as Instagram posts. This makes life so much easier and I can schedule them ahead of time and then just post them at the right times. This is a paid app, but I think it’s so worth the cost.

4. Snapseed

I am in the clothing business for Direct Sales and having an app that I can quickly use to edit my photos, balance the white and make sure the colors are pulling through correct is a necessity. There is so much you can do with this app for editing pictures and it’s FREE!

5. Ripl

Ripl is another favorite of the apps to use for your direct sales business, and one I use often to create little animated videos to post. This comes in handy for Instagram and my Facebook business and group pages. There are a lot of quick animation templates to use and many of them are FREE. You have the option to upgrade but I haven’t found that necessary.

What is your favorite app to use?

How can I use Snapchat for Direct Sales?

February 7, 2018 By Joni Kinney Leave a Comment

What is Snapchat?

How can I use Snapchat for Direct sales? Start with understanding what the app does. Snapchat is an instant photo / messenger app you can use to tell someone what is happening right now. This could be a selfie, a product picture or a funny moment. Snapchat targets people aged 13-25 but don’t think those are the only users on Snapchat. My mom snapchats with me more than anyone else. This popular app sends and distributes more than 400 million messages a day. Most snaps disappear after a few seconds but be warned people can screenshot your images and chats. However the small time frame that your snaps/pictures are visible makes it the perfect way to deliver a stunning call to action for people while using snapchat for business. The key here is to create sense of urgency and excitement.

Snapchat for Direct sales basics – How to take a snap

  1. Download the app and create your free profile.
  2. Add contacts (the app will walk you through this)
  3. Decide what you want to take a photo of. If you want to take a selfie you can apply a filter by holding your finger down on your face. Filters should then show up along the bottom. Click on of them to get it to apply.
  4. Take a photo – you do this by clicking on the circle on the bottom right in the center of your screen.
  5. Now you can add a text capture or just send the photo. You send the picture by clicking on the blue and white arrow in the bottom right corner. Then pick who you want to send the photo to. Click the arrow again in the bottom right corner.

How can you use Snapchat for direct sales?

Snapchat can be a powerful tool for finding new business if you build brand awareness. This is why I believe you should use snapchat for direct sales businesses. Here are just some of things you can do with it.

  • Create coupons or specials for your customers.
  • Do a SnapChat giveaway.
  • Show your business behind the scenes in a more casual way.
  • Preview new products on Snapchat.
  • Create ad and marketing campaigns
  • Share your snapcode to gain other followers! My SnapChat name is Joni8958 Here is my snapcode… you know you want to follow me
